Fire & Bio Protection No. 2 increases the fire resistance of wood, ensuring that mass loss during fire testing does not exceed 25%.
Fire protection durability: at least 2 years
Biological protection durability: up to 25 years
Preserves wood texture and does not block vapor permeability
Does not reduce the strength characteristics of treated wood
Stops even previously developed biological damage
Suitable for both exterior and interior use
Concentrate 1:10
Fire & Bio Protection No. 2 is ideal for residential use as well as public buildings with low foot traffic.
QUALITY GUARANTEED! Certified by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) Certification Center.
Designed to protect wood from bio-corrosion (mold, blue stain, fungi, moss, and other biological damage) and to convert it into a flame-retardant (hardly combustible) material group.
Used for treatment of wooden products and structures (roof structures, log houses, frames, etc.) that are not exposed to direct water contact or atmospheric precipitation.
Odorless
Does not cause corrosion of ferrous metals
Does not alter the structure of wood
Does not impair mechanical properties or the ability to glue, varnish, or paint
Extends the natural service life of wood
Tints the wood (see “Color”)
Clean the wood from biological growth, bark, bast, dirt, grease, dust, and any coatings that prevent absorption of the solution.
IMPORTANT: Wood moisture content must not exceed 15%. Treating freshly cut or wet wood significantly reduces penetration efficiency, retention, and performance of the product.
Do not carry out fire-protection work at temperatures below 0°C or during precipitation.
Oiled or previously painted wooden surfaces cannot be treated with this impregnating solution.
To prepare the solution, dissolve 1 kg of concentrate in 10 liters of water at 60–80°C. Stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.
Apply evenly to the prepared surface using a roller, brush, dipping method, or spray.
If crystalline salt sediment appears due to storage at low temperatures, gently heat the product to approximately +40°C and stir until fully dissolved before use.
Apply in a continuous, even coat without drips or missed areas, carefully treating joints and connections.
Brush or spray application:
2 coats using solution at 50–60°C, with at least 2 hours between coats
or
3 coats using solution at 10–15°C, with at least 6 hours between coats
Protect treated surfaces from moisture until fully dry.
Carry out work at temperatures from +15°C and relative humidity not exceeding 70%.
Fire Protection Group I can be achieved using the “hot–cold bath” method:
Hot bath: 75 ± 5°C, impregnation time 24 hours
Cold bath: 18–20°C, impregnation time 24 hours
400–500 g/m² (two coats, solution at 50–60°C)
550–600 g/m² (three coats, solution at 10–15°C)
600 g/m² (immersion method)
Maintaining the recommended consumption rate is essential.
Water.
Red.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application.
Use personal protective equipment: protective clothing, coveralls, rubber gloves, respirator, and safety goggles. Cover all exposed skin.
Do not allow product to enter sewage systems or soil. Protect the environment.
Store and transport in tightly sealed original packaging at temperatures from 0°C to +30°C.
Dispose of sealed containers with product residues at designated household waste collection points. Empty containers may be disposed of as construction waste.
Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
