Fire & Bio Protection No. 1 provides the highest level of protection, ensuring that mass loss during fire testing does not exceed 9%. Wood treated with Fire & Bio Protection No. 1 is classified as hard-to-burn.
Key Benefits
-
Fire protection durability: at least 3 years
-
Biological protection durability: up to 45 years
-
Preserves wood texture and allows vapor permeability
-
Does not reduce the strength properties of treated wood
-
Stops even previously existing damage to wood
-
Suitable for both exterior and interior use
Fire & Bio Protection No. 1 is ideal for public buildings (cafes, cinemas, restaurants, etc.) as well as residential use.
QUALITY GUARANTEED! Certified by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) Certification Center.
Intended Use
Designed to protect wood from bio-corrosion (mold, blue stain, fungi, moss, and other biological damage) and to convert it into flame-retardant material.
Used for wooden products and structures (roof elements, log houses, frames, etc.) not exposed to direct water contact or atmospheric precipitation.
Characteristics
-
Odorless
-
Does not cause corrosion of ferrous metals
-
Does not alter wood structure
-
Does not impair mechanical properties, or the ability to glue, varnish, or paint
-
Extends the natural service life of wood
-
Tints the wood (see “Color”)
Surface Preparation
Clean the wood from biological growths, bark, bast, dirt, grease, dust, and any coatings that prevent solution absorption.
IMPORTANT: Wood moisture must not exceed 15%. Treating freshly cut or wet wood significantly reduces penetration, retention, and effectiveness.
Do not perform fire-protection work at temperatures below 0°C or during precipitation.
Oiled or previously painted wooden surfaces cannot be treated with this impregnating solution.
Application Method
Apply evenly on the prepared surface using a roller, brush, dipping, or spraying.
If crystalline salt deposits appear due to low-temperature storage, gently warm the solution to approx. +40°C and stir until fully dissolved.
Apply in a continuous, uniform layer without drips or missed areas, carefully treating joints and connections.
Protect treated surfaces from moisture until fully dry. Work should be performed at temperatures above +15°C and relative humidity not exceeding 70%.
Fire Protection Group I can be achieved using the “hot–cold bath” method:
-
Hot bath: 75 ± 5°C, impregnation time 24 hours
-
Cold bath: 18–20°C, impregnation time 24 hours
Consumption
-
400–500 g/m² (two coats, solution at 50–60°C)
-
550–600 g/m² (three coats, solution at 10–15°C)
-
600 g/m² (immersion method)
Maintaining recommended consumption is crucial.
Solvent
Water.
Color
Green.
Safety Precautions
Keep out of reach of children. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application.
Use personal protective equipment: protective clothing, coveralls, rubber gloves, respirator, and safety goggles. Cover all exposed skin.
Do not allow product to enter drains or soil. Protect the environment.
Storage, Transportation, and Disposal
Store and transport in tightly sealed original packaging at temperatures from 0°C to +30°C.
Dispose of sealed containers with product residues at designated household waste collection points. Empty containers may be disposed of as construction waste.
Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
